Where exactly SPRING will be useful compared to struts?
Struts and Spring are very different. Struts is MVC based using Servlets/JSP. Spring also includes MVC module. That is, without Struts knowledge you can do Spring MVC module also. That is what Struts can do, Spring MVC module also can do. But my suggestion is learn Struts first then Spring.
